I’d suggest staying in the Nimman area of Chiang Mai. It’s a lively neighborhood, with lots of cafes, restaurants, and easy access to transportation. Recently, after COVID and flooding, the Old City and the Night Bazaar area have become quieter, while Nimman has a wider variety of open venues. If you still prefer the Old City, consider the Shangri-La, Anantara but here are some great options in Nimman:
